For fuel: burns longer than seasoned oak, burnt smell is a modern smokeless gunpowder smell.
For Fertilizer: use as is for microgreens or mushroom medium. Use ash after burning for garden soil enhancement. Note: burned ash can increase yields as much as 15-20% and reduces nitrates in the soil, eliminating contamination to ground water unlike commercial fertilizer.
